“The people walking in darkness have seen a great light;
On those living in the land of deep darkness, a light has dawned”
I’ve always been fond of those words, from Isaiah 9:12. To me, they serve as a reminder that hope can come to all, and is a stranger to no one. And, at this time of horrific struggle and tremendous hardship for so many people around the world, I think that’s an important thing to remember and to spread.
Nothing can be truly hopeless, as long as hope is somewhere, anywhere, in the heart and mind.
Hope, kindness, empathy, love, and care are the foundations of human emotion, and as much as some would like us to believe they are weaknesses to be ignored and suppressed, I maintain now and forever that they are what makes us strong, what makes us special, what makes us…human.
To everyone reading this, and everyone not, wherever you are and whatever your life may look like at the moment, I want to assure you that you are in my thoughts, your love is in my heart, and your hope is in my soul.
To each, to all, I wanna wish a very merry Christmas, and all the joys and warmth that can and should come with that greeting and this day.
All my love, care, and warmth,
Noah Brown
